Jay and Ace, on a call
Jay is a made-up pupil, and both voices are AI.
Read the whole conversation
- Jay: Hey Ace, I don't get this one. Can you help?
- Ace: Of course. What's stopping x being on its own?
- Jay: The plus six?
- Ace: Yes! So what can we do to both sides?
- Jay: Take 6 away. So 3x is 15.
- Ace: Lovely. And x?
- Jay: 15 shared by 3. It's 5!
- Ace: You worked that out. Same thing to both sides, every time.
And it draws

Then you try it.
A line passes through (1, 3) and (4, 9). Find its equation.
slope = (9 − 3) ÷ (4 − 1) = 2 ✓
y = 2x 2/3
3 = 2 × 1 + c, so c = 1
